What is Teaming with Wildlife?
Teaming with Wildlife is a national coalition of more than 4,500 organizations working toprevent wildlife from becoming endangered by supporting increased state and federal funding for wildlifeconservation. This coalition includes wildlife managers, conservationists, hunters and anglers, businesses, and many others who support the goal of restoring and conserving our nation's wildlife.
The Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM) is a nonprofit organizatin coordinating the Massachusetts’ Teaming with Wildlife Coalition. The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) is the state agency responsible for managing all wildlife, inland fisheries, and native plants. MassWildlife is the agency that wrote and is implementing the Massachusetts’ Wildlife Action Plan (see below for details). These two entities, working in partnership with members of the state’s TWW coalition, are spearheading the effort to protect wildlife in Massachusetts.
The Massachusetts Coalition is comprised of over 150 organizations and businesses. These include land trusts, watershed groups, outdoor organizations, environmental policy organizations, commercial whale watches, sportsmen and women groups, bed & breakfasts, and other businesses.
