TRAINING PROGRAM

WHAT:  Designed for businesses and communities near the North Carolina Birding Trail, this training will provide tools and information to market your business and community to birders as they travel the Trail.  The program will provide information on special needs for this niche market, as well as specific suggestions and ways to reach this market.  Training topics include:  birders as clients, enhancing your business and community for birders, hospitality and etiquette, birding basics, and conservation practices.

WHEN:          Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  (registration begins at 9:30 a.m.)

WHERE:       Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park & Eco-Center, 4963 US Highway 258, Scotland Neck, NC (directions at www.shwpark.com), 252-826-3186

COST:           $20 per participant (Cost includes a light dinner meal and training materials)

DETAILS:     Training is limited to 25 participants.  Pre-registration is required!

The registration fee will be waived for site managers at approved NC Birding Trail sites.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  September 7, 2007
